NEWS: The Toy Scavenger

Much as I love modern toys, I've always had a soft spot for vintage lines. I'm sure, like many other collectors, this love comes from reconnecting with the toys of our childhood, of owning a piece of history. But if you're struggling to find your little slice of plastic nostalgia, then you may want to continue reading...

The Toy Scavenger is a new site, dedicated to tracking down some of the coolest toys of yesteryear. Their inventory features the usual suspects, with everything from Star Wars to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but there are also a few hidden gems in there, with LEGO and rarities like Starcom also popping up.

As Paul at The Toy Scavenger explained, ''I started The Toy Scavenger because, as a long-time toy collector, I struggled to find quality vintage action figure websites that really showed off the items for sale. Many just use standard images or duplicate images of the toy you're getting, not the actual figure for sale. I feel that every detail matters when collecting vintage figures so that's why we use high quality images and descriptions to make sure the customer knows what they are buying. In the collecting world every detail is key!''

Although the site has only been operational for a short time, their inventory is impressive, with more items being added regularly (and there's even a blog to keep you updated on new arrivals) and you can even request specific items, which the site's world-wide buying team will do their best to locate for you!

See more at The Toy Scavenger site or at their Facebook Page.
